*USE THIS PROCEDURE ONLY IF YOU UNDERSTAND AND AT YOUR RISK

Please do not do this back up if you are not 100% sure or if this is your first time.

It is not worth the risk if you are not sure. Let experts do it.

 

Keyboard and Mouse connection must be PS2 and not USB. And USB HDD disconnected unless cloning is to do with USB Hard Drive

 

Please note that for Vista: Recovery needs to be done before the Cloned Hard Drive can be used as master. For details please call Mr. Bhaskar Patel on 020865500888.

 

STEP 1

SWITCH OFF the Computer the usual way. Shut down the main computer

 

STEP2        

INSERT RHD and lock into place by turning KEY to Lock the RHD

 

STEP 3

INSERT BOOT (NG) DISC 1 into Floppy Drive (small drive in front of computer)

INSERT BOOT (NG) DISC 2 into Floppy Drive (when asked)

 

STEP4

SWITCH ON Main computer

 

STEP5

The Computer Screen will display “SYMANTEC GHOST”  Click “OK”

 

STEP6

Click  “LOCAL” ► Click ”DISK”  ► Click ”TO DISK”

 

STEP7   IMPORTANT

On “Select SOURCE Drive” (1000 GB – The Larger One)

CHECK that the Blue bar is on “DRIVE 1”

Click “OK” only if the Blue Bar is on 1

 

STEP8   IMPORTANT

On “Select DESTINATION Drive” (6400 GB – The Smaller One)

CHECK that the Blue bar is on “DRIVE 2”

Click “OK” only if the Blue Bar is on 2

 

STEP9

Destination Drive Details     Click “OK”

 

STEP10  IMPORTANT

Proceed with DISK CLONE

CHECK that the Computer says

SOURCE= LOCAL DRIVE (1)

DESTINATION =LOCAL DRIVE (2)

 

STEP11

IF OK Click “YES” (It will take approx. 10 to 15 minutes to Backup.)

The Computer will display progress on screen.

IF NOT CORRECT Click “NO” and start everything again from STEP 1.

 

STEP12

At end of procedure, Click “CONTINUE” and then “QUIT”  “YES” and then switch the computer OFF.

Remove FLOPPY disc, Unlock Key and Remove RHD. Label the backup date on RHD. Pack carefully and store the Remove RHD.                                              REF: 010409
